Greg -

It appears I misread your post. You were looking fo an EXIT instead of an entry. Sorry about that. If I bought where you did, I don't think I'd be exiting at this point. All of your indicators & Oscillators are not yet overbought. DMA is going to cross threw price tomorrow and slow stochastics appears to be heading for a stop. Let's monitor it tomorrow for everyone to see. Btw, how many shares are you holding? Either way, you see where DMA is heading on the daily? So get ready to pull the trigger(close)while the stock is heading upward and jump into something else. Let's see if we can both find something intraday more suitable for you okay?

DMA IS THE ONLY WAY.

Thanks for the correction, I was starting to get confused. So, that brings me back to my original question, for an EXIT, are we looking for EMA cross overs on the weekly, hourly or minute charts. which is more important to watching for an exit? Thanks

You never want to buy "gaps" at the open. You needed to be in LVLT already on 12/11/05. Now had the stock not gapped, you would have been looking good.

Now notice how DMA is curving down on 12/11/05? So price was going to meet DMA around $3.20 anyway. So buying at the open was your first mistake. Secondly, you want the DMA on the daily pointing UP not down. Or crossing horizontally so that price will pass DMA significantly and then create a shorting opportunity thereafter.

Don't get confused with the 3/13 crossovers. Never buy just on those alone. Never! Always use the crossovers as confirmation with your other indicators and Oscillators(slow(5,3),CCI(7),volume,Fisher Transform(10)etc....

Again, a bit of confusion, I'm using the 3/13 crossover as an EXIT not an entry. Also, I was using one of your older DMA filters w/o the DMA Slope command, I've since changed that to screen for positive slopes.

I meant to say "never buy OR SELL on just those alon." The only time I use the 3/13 crossover as a stand alone, it's to add to short positions.

I would suggest using RSI(2)and Momentum(7)for closing out positions, until you get a real feel for these long positions. Keep in mind negative divergence on RSI(2)and slow stochastics(5,3)for exiting as well.

Maxreturn, You said

"For those of you who knew better but didn't voice your opinion, shame on you for not speaking out so some of the lesser experienced traders could benefit."

You're kidding, right? Have you seen the responses you get when you disagree with a few of the posters on this forum?

I previously ran a back test on the filter from Jan to April, it returned a NEGATIVE 100% ROI.

Most long filters will return a negative ROI on this time period, but I have a few that are -5 to -10 so that's my benchmark.

Just figured that most of the people here were smart enough to see through the hype.

Stockfetchers backtest isn't accurate enough to base a trading system on without further work, but it does do a quick and dirty check to see if it's worth spending more time on. This one wasn't

You tested it from January to April? Now that's funny!!!!! Yeah, most good traders ALWAYS stay in a stock for 4 months! I think my record is about 6 days. But keep up the backtesting there way2whatever! LOL....

I agree with Way2Late 100%. I kept my mouth shut after seeing through the smoke to avoid the flaming responses that would follow.
