Does anyone know exactly how the DIs are to be used as explained by Welles Wilder? Can you create a filter to demonstrate?

In "Trading for a Living", Dr. Elder has a full discussion of what the Directional Movement indicator measures, how it's calculated and how he would incorporate its use in a trading plan.

see also: Chuck LeBeau.
I've bought all of his systems. Loved his use of ADX and selling into strength based on an ADX driven multiple of ATR. One of the most profitable tradestation systems I'd ever tested.

nrd,
Sorry, I've lost all of his trading systems in a hard drive crash several years ago. You'll find some of his scripts posted here and there on the web, but, his selling site is: http://www.traderclub.com/ (nothing SF'ers can use there)

Very Good Info FYI:

p.s. EGOV here at $5.08 looks like it's one hot volume day from a 20% gainer. p.p.s. EGOV is a RealMoney.com "Stocks Under $10" pick for the last 90 days or so.
