Kevin thanks for sharing your work on this filter. I notice you are using the Connor 6/6 score and not the composite score, did I miss something, or did you start using the composite score and switch?
If I understand it right the z-score gives the 2 SD from its usual relationship with the SPY. What does KPM score tell us? Thanks again for your generosity.

+++++

The composite score is the sum of the 6 Connors filters, along with 4 other criteria I like to use (The KPM score). The maximum one could get is a 10. The four criteria I use along with the Connors filters are:

1. Close at or below the lower Bollinger Band(20,2)
2. RSI(2) below 1 - this is basically the original filter in this thread
3. The Z-score (how many SD from the usual relationship with the broader markets - using SPY as a proxy). This needs to be more than 2 SD away from the mean to get counted.
4. If the stock closed 1 day ago outside of the BB(16,2.5), but closed today back inside the bands. This is from a previous filter I developed last year that worked well. Stronger weight if the day's close is above its open, although the score does not go up.

So when I list each stock, I provide the Connors filter score, then list each of the above criteria if it was hit.

Hopefully that clarifies things.

In talking to Fidelity there is no way to place a SELL SHORT LIMIT ORDER and simultaneously place an OCO order to BUY TO COVER STOP LOSS and a BUY TO COVER LIMIT ORDER to take profit. You have to place the SELL SHORT LIMIT ORDER first and then wait around the computer for it to hit before you can place the OCO order to BUY TO COVER STOP LOSS and a BUY TO COVER LIMIT ORDER to take profit. Does anyone know of a brokerage that allows placing this type of order all at once without waiting around for the SELL SHORT limit order to hit?

I think you can't place a stop loss and limit order on a stock you haven't purchased yet. If you use the r1/s1 pivots for entry, the corresponding stop and limit positions will not change. You can enter them after the trade is triggered.

Not sure if there are brokers who can do what you are asking. Maybe others can comment?

I was hoping there was a way to at least be able to place an OTO order to sell short and a buy to cover stop loss so I didn't have to hover around the computer 7+ hours every day waiting for each sell short limit order to fill.
