Expert help required.......Guys, how do I write the filter that will show me the fast and slow MACD(12,26) lines running tightly together in parallel fashion near the 0 line........

wamphraywater - maybe this will help...

Not a SF filter expert, but I gave it a try.
You can fool with the Macd values and the lookback period...

Show stocks where the
MACD fast line has been above -.001 for the last 20 days and
MACD fast line has been below .001 for the last 20 days and
MACD slow line has been above -.001 for the last 20 days and
MACD slow line has been below .001 for the last 20 days and
draw macd(12,26,5)
