Premium: Maiden Holdings Ltd (MHLD) $7.71 +2.25%Posted on December 4th, 2009 1:19 pm by fredruffy in All Stocks, Insurance, Small Cap StocksProperty and casualty insurance company Maiden Holdings (MHLD) is seeing action for a second day. MHLD made the list of “less actively names seeing bullish order flow yesterday” — see 3:45 color — as players bought to open new positions in MHLD Feb and May 7.5 calls. Today, shares are up 15 cents to $7.69 and options volume is running 20X the average daily on increasing interest in May 7.5 calls, with 1576 traded (88 percent ask-side). Citi raised it to Buy from Hold with a $21 price target on improving eCommerce trends. Oppenheimer upgraded AKAM to Outperform from Perform with a $30 price target, saying revenues troughed in 2009 and valuations should ramp as top line improves. The comments hold some sway, because they come ahead of a Dec 7 analyst day. Meanwhile, options volume is running 4X the average daily, with help from a Jan 20 - 26 call spread, sold 4450X at $4.10, which is possibly a roll up in strikes. Dec 24, 25, and 26 calls are seeing interest as well.----------------------------Premium: Financial Select Sector (XLF) $14.49 +0.90%Posted on December 4th, 2009 1:40 pm by fredruffy in All ETFsBig Print in the Select Sector Financials (XLF) today after an investor bought 55,000 March 14 calls at $1.36 per contract.
