This is from David Elliot (Firstwave)

It is an Implementation of His MOBO Bands. There is a discussion in these forums that is labled MOBO bands but is actually about FirstWaves CCI based system for Snap Backs and Zoom Zones - Also Very Good

The theory is what i consider a Signal to Noise analysis of the price action. Based on Bollinger Bands(10,0.8) and that inside the bands is noise. A move crossing and closing outside outside the bands is a move outside the noise threshold... real directional price action. If the move outside the bands is to the upside, the bias of the following bars (even if back within the bands) is green/up and will stay green until the bias is changed to the downside by a close below the lower band where the shading of the bands would be red. These filters are to find stocks that are in the green or red shading condition. Filtering for the transition events is not covered here but are easy to determine by one day ago it was red and today the price closed above the upper MOBO (Bollinger Band(10,0.8)). And the opposite for transition to red.

All the credit for these filters goes to StockFether Support as I had no clue how to implement these filters

Signal has created an upward Green bias

set{condition1, days(Bollinger %B(10,0.8) crossed above 1,100)}
set{v1, days(Bollinger %B(10,0.8) crossed below 0,100)}
set{v2, count(v1 equals -1,1)}
set{v3, count(v1 is greater than condition1,1)}
set{condition2, v3 + v2}
show stocks condition1 is above -1
and condition2 is above 0
and draw Bollinger Bands(10,0.8)
and close is above 10

Signal has created a downward Red bias

set{condition1, days(Bollinger %B(10,0.8) crossed below 0,100)}
set{v1, days(Bollinger %B(10,0.8) crossed above 1,100)}
set{v2, count(v1 equals -1,1)}
set{v3, count(v1 is greater than condition1,1)}
set{condition2, v3 + v2}
show stocks condition1 is above -1
and condition2 is above 0
and draw Bollinger Bands(10,0.8)
and close is above 10

When MOBO bands are a charted study in a platform like ThinkorSwim the Green and Red shading of the bands appears on the chart.
