8/13/2011 11:03:15 PM I live in Texas !!! We have had 40 STRAIGHT days of ... uhh ... 100 degrees PLUS temperatures !!! We FINALLY broke the streak !!! We have gotten a break ... I actually awoke today to ... RAIN !!! A morning shower ... can you imagine ? --- The "record" ... set in 1980 ... was 42 ! It will remain intact ! --- "Needles" to say ... it has been brutal ... even ... at times ... unbearable !!! It was EASILY ... 96 Degrees In The Shade !!! |

8/16/2011 6:40:26 PM alf, you must live by me, I live in Texas and have experienced this heat wave first hand, I work outside 70% of the time, in 1980, I was working in a lumber yard at the age of 15 when the heat wave hit, I remember it well, alas, the other day I awoke to a rain shower (saturday) the 13th, I had to drive to work in it and it was horrible, now we are back on the heat, what do you do! |
