I got the following filter while meditating with an eastern guru. It has great short term hits and works wonders if you just buy the first 5 hits and sell them a few days later.
It does not depend on buying those cheep and cheesy 1 penny stocks nor do you have to wait until 9 am, wait for green and then add the price of the stock to the date and divide by 3.74 or anything like that.
Buy when you like and sell when you like.

Stock
Fetcher[Show stocks where MACD fast line(12,26) is above 0
and Parabolic SAR has been increasing for 5 days
and 60 day slope of the close is above 0
and rsi(15) is above 50
and zig-zack is increasing
and Average Volume(90) is above 100000
and volume is above average volume(20)
and close is between .5 and 2.50
and date offset is 0

You include 0.50 to 0.999.
What do you consider as penny stocks? 0-0.499? Why not 0.5-0.999?
Just curious.

Also, what is "zig-zack"? Is that from Zacks?

I did not say anything about penny stocks.

I stated "It does not depend on buying those cheep and cheesy 1 penny stocks"

I don't get too hung up on definitions and generally limit my filters to .1 although some begin with .05

As a rule I like the .1 and above parameter best. It seems to leave out a lot of goofy acting stocks.

You do bring up a good point though in that it pays to play with the price range in filters because it does affect their performance. Sometimes to the better and sometimes to the detriment. It pays to experiment.

I tried two different phrases,"Show stocks where zig-zack is increasing and date offset is 2"( any number).
just in case that was a typo I also tried,
"Show stocks where zig-zag is increasing and date offset is 2" ( any number ).
These both returned over 8,000 hits.
Just for the heck of it I wanted to see what was returning these hits so I tried, Show stocks where is increasing and date offset is 2" and got over 8,000 hits.
It seems what is bringing in the hits is the word "increasing".

Don't take this as a hostile post just wanted to bring your attention to it.

Zuber, OK, ok, you got me. First of all, I intended it to be a Halloween joke but screwed up the spelling on Zag when I did the filter.
It's not used at all, even though the filter is legit and does work pretty well, especially the first 3 days, which I'm trying to concentrate on.
I want to pack as much gain into the first 3 days as possible for trading purposes.
