Just the basics: Look for congestion and increased volume activity.

Mika, Thanks again.
Rich, to backtest add phrase " and date offset is X days " at the end.
Go back 8 days to see the results from Dec 23/03 which are outstanding.
At the top of the Stockfetcher Home Page... its all in The Manual.

Mika, great filter, I hope you don't mind, I played with it and made one small adjustment, I changed above 0 to "crossed above -0.1.5 from below" I found this got me in a day earlier. I used Fast Stoch(5,3) for entry day after it turns up,(usualy next day) and buy at close price of day before. It looks like a 3 day hold gives best results. thanks for your sharing, great work.

Very good! And you've discerned correctly. Three days is about the time horizon I like to hold my stocks for. Of cos I use both time and price parameters in my trading, so if the price did what I was hoping it would do in less time, I really don't see the value of holding any longer. Remember, pigs get slaughtered. Or maybe they get fat. Hmmm,.. LOL
