1.. macd(2,3,1) daily 2. daily rsi(2) 3. weekly rsi(2) 4. monthly rsi(2) 5 wm% to find most profitable stocks to trade-------set{wm%,weekly atr(8)/weekly ma(8)} 5. 20d(which is the % from the 20ma- 0.85 is 15% below-----1.15 is 15% above the ma 20) set{20d,close/ma(20)} 6. volume spike set{v%,volume/average volume(50)}-- this is all you need period one other thing-- block trades on tradetrek.com- to determine buying and selling of the smart money who control the stock market---and if the close is above 200 ma and you get a stock that the 20d is <0.85 and the weekly rsi(2) is <5% this greatly increases your indicator % winners- also being optionable helps too-- today appeared to be the bottom reversal of the nasdaq or qqqq-- daily rsi(2) at 4.8% at its low of 48.12 today(and you need to read these values in realtime as they happen) the macd(2,3,1) was at- 0.20 just about the same reading as the last 4-5 qqqq lows-on the intraday if you want to know if a bottom is being put in on your low 5% rsi(2)- then you set up a 1 minute chart with a rsi(10) and look for a big pos divergence which you got near the 48.20 level- at 49.20 yesterday you got a big negative divergence at 49.20 indicating the qqqq was heading for support near the 200ma which was at 48.10 today- we also had a perfect round bottom on the bottom of intraday i minute graph . the block trades are very very important in determining if the stock is reversing or continuing up- also great indicator of if a fda merger or good or bad earning will happen-- you can make really big money using the block trades off earnings- i can give you 100 s of examples because the site allows you to go back for the last year s block trades- the bigger and more dollar value of the block trades- ususally the bigger a move will be depending on the stocks wm%-- if you had been checking about a year ago on the block trades on aqnt about the 16th of may- you would of seen a giant spike in the block trade volume-100 times normal- so you buy the june 07 45 calls for 0.05 while the stock was at 35$- the rumor was msft was going to buy them out-- so 2 days later msft did buy them- and the stock went to 64$ making those 45 june calls worth 20$ or a 40000% gain in 1 day- same thing happened on rimm before its earning last june 28th- on the 26tj of june it had fallen to an rsi(2) of 2% at its low at 162- i gave the alert to buy the july 17-220 calls manly bercause at 163 on the 27th there was a 88 million dollar buy- stock went 216 4 days later and eventual to 235 before july exp- making those 220 call that were 0.05 worth 15$-- ldk had made a big drop from the oct 07 high of 77 to 25$ on b ogus news on its polysilicon inventory- after being <30$ for about a week- suddenly big block trades buys appeared on 11-30-07 at 29$ a week later is was at 47 and then 75 eventaully and all the way up there was buying mostly in ah(you want to check the ah big block trades 1600-1700 on stocks you are in-this will usually tell you if the stoc is going to continue up or reverse) so on 12-17-7 we get to 75$ top of daily and weekly rsi(2)- then we see big block sells for the first time and it falls to 45 4 days later- i will give you maybe 10 more examples of block trades and mainly earnings plays later

csco earnings on 11-7-07(which matched the market top reversal- on the weekly rsi(2) the qqqq was 99% and aapl and rimm were at 100%-)and csco was 99.9% during the day of nov 7th- there were 5 million shares in block trades sold and 1 million bought indicating bad earnings- so the play while csco was at 33.50 at 1500- was to short csco or buy the 30 and 27.5 nov 07 puts- it had bad earnings and fill to 28 4 days later- on 10-02-07 after akam had fallen 54-26 on bad earnings the month before- then out of the blue there were 3 block trades totaling 88 million dollars at about 28.50- here they are off tradetrek.com-----2007-10-02 11:38 28.450 2,029,800 57,747,812.00 $ ---- 7 days it was at 40$-what happens is that people who know the news before it comes out- buy these blocks

mos on earning on 1-9--08 - it fill to about 81 about 30 minutes before earnings-then the big block buys came in for >50 million dollars at about 82- your play was to either mos at 82 or play the jan 100-110 calls-since this stock really moves up on good earnings- it had great earnings closed at 89 and in ah a 500k buy- next day it went to 99$- in ah a 350k buy- next day it went TO 109 AND IN AH THERE WERE 600K SELLS- so you shorted it here- next day it closed at 103 and during the day you would of bought the jan 80-75 puts- 3 day later i went <77--- an interesting thing happens in about 80% of the pre earning daily rsi-2 if its >80% it had bad earnings and if it <30% easpecially under 10% you get good earnings--it has really worked well on these solar stocks-- big block buys at 29 before ldk went to 75 solf at 12$ before it went to 40$ and at 13$ before it went to 28 this week csiq at 8$ before it went to 32$ and csiq at 18$ before it went to 49 this week- in all casaes there were big block trades before all these stocks made there big moves up

Hi Mary. Thanks for the informative posts. Can you please give the actual filter? I'm having trouble getting the syntax to work.

Quote from MARY4MONEY:

Now how would you do that same filter with price above 10 and volume above 1,000,000? I keep trying to add it, but get the dread "DeBug" notice?
