I bought FSTR right after a pullback last week and have since eaten something like 15%. Why? What is so bad about this stock? Nothing. This is a classic panic sell right before earnings call (on Thursday, 25th).

In fact, this stock rocks!

Not only is it in the IBD100 (my favorite watchlist), but the good news keeps coming.

"PITTSBURGH, Oct. 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Pittsburgh-based L.B. Foster Company announced that it has been included in the prestigious Forbes Magazine 2007 Best Small Companies in America."

I know that doesn't mean much, but I think I see this one as a great bargain.

You know, after reading my previous post I realize how much it sounds like a pump scheme...didn't mean for that to happen.

This is how it is shaping up since that post.

What's your strategy? I know you use some crazy Bollinger Band indicator...I have never seen anyone use anything other than the 20, 2. I would like to test your filters on my watchlists if that is possible.

I use very simple filters. I wait for stocks to correct and find support before entering. I find strong stocks will bounce off that crazy bbands(40,0.4) I use so frequently. I also keep an eye on volume making sure it's shrinking while correcting...that's it ...K.I.S.S method

Fetcher[
Show stocks where close crossed upper bollinger band(40,0.4) from below
and Average Volume(90) is above 500000
and close is between 40 and 100
bollinger band(40,0.4) is above ma(60)

I have to admit i've never used BBs, but i will take a look at the filter and see how it goes. thanks.

a nice entry would be to see it test support...it had the same pattern back in august.

I hope I wasn't the only person who bought this one at a low. I sold it for just over fifty bucks (my sell point is always above the top bollinger band).

Anyway, enough about FSTR

Here is another set up I bought into. ININ popped up on my screen Monday and today. Look at how beautiful this pennant is forming! If we can get a good day or two in the markets here soon this one is going to pop.

What do you guys think?

And what happened to the chat feature? I have been gone for a couple of weeks...I see the logs stopped Nov 1.
