Hi,
when you preform backtesting and you have got satisfied for the result from last two year but not for the previous years results.
How do i deal with such results?, what is it saying about my filter??
do the meaning , significance and force and of the indicators change with the time and the markes situation??

thanx!!

I think they do change from different market temperments. Myself, I do my backtesting against when the market was happy. But with the current market the way it is, one would want to temper his backtesting to a more negative environment and see which of their filters perform the best in adverse conditions.

Merry Christmas!
