Hi Everyone,
Hi Support,

I am trying to locate a certain stock chart pattern for a momentum play.

Here is the criteria...
#1 Substantial rise in price (80% in two months or less)

#2 Final Consolidation (a period of consolidation that can be a variable amount of time (6days-30days) that doesn't drop in price more then 22% during the consolidation.

#3 receding volume during the consolidation period.

#4 Price crossed above the trend line during the consolidation period.

Here is what I've written so far, but it falls short of my expectations...

close 6 days ago is 80% above close 50 days ago
and close 60 days ago > 1
set{hi6, High 6 days ago}
and set{lo6, Low 6 days ago}
and hi6 is above Open last 5 days
and hi6 is above Close last 5 days
price between 5 and 100

draw resistance slope(6,6)
draw support slope (6)
draw price line at close 60 days ago
draw price line at high

Any ideas or suggestions?

Thank you,
Renn

I know this is sort of a duplicate request, but I think my criteria is more specific then the previous request and might be easier to code for.

Thank you,
Renn

This is a very profitable pattern :-)

Is anyone interested in helping refine the search for Stock Fetcher?

Hi TraderBlues,

Great job! I really like how it finds the gap flags.

Thank you! I will add this to my tool box!

Has anyone tried to trade this pattern? ACOR worked out great using this pattern. Also CTDC came up twice

Hi,
I've been trading what i guess you would call a variation of the high tight flag (my squeeze/volume/price breakout)and for me it is a deadly weapon.
Both ACOR and CTDC turned into very profitable trades for sure.
MOMO search is correct,one of the purest momo scans ever IMO

Just another method to see high, tight, short term bull flags. Time period and amplitudes adjustable.

Fetcher[set{v,count(3 day slope of close is between 0 and -.4,1)}
set{a,count(5 day slope of close 3 days ago > .5,1)}
set{and1,v * a }

set{t,count(4 day slope of close is between 0 and -.4,1)}
set{r,count(5 day slope of close 4 days ago > .5,1)}
set{and4,t * r }

set{b,count(5 day slope of close is between 0 and -.4,1)}
set{c,count(5 day slope of close 5 days ago > .5,1)}
set{and2,b * c }

set{d,count(6 day slope of close is between 0 and -.4,1)}
set{e,count(5 day slope of close 6 days ago > .5,1)}
set{and3,d * e}

set{h,count(7 day slope of close is between 0 and -.4,1)}
set{i,count(5 day slope of close 7 days ago > .5,1)}
set{and5,h * i }

set{or1,and1 + and2}
set{or2,or1 + and3}
set{or3,or2 + and4}
set{or4,or3 + and5}
or4 > 0

add column or4
sort column 5 descending

and avg vol(5) is 50% below avg vol(5) 5 days ago
and avg vol(10) > 100000

HIGH FLAGS

Was reading a thread last night on Stockfetcher titled high tight flags, my version doesn't exactly match up with the filters in the thread,i like a very short " flag " length, here's the 20 i came up with for today :

HAYZ GNVC ISIS MAMA SKNN HTI MVIS WFII KONG ROHI NYNY ALIF MIVT ONNN TTP MOVI XNN ISPH BIOS TSTC

Posted by Muddy
Check them out,some real nice hits from some of them.
2 of the losers SKNN and MIVT never held green and if you know me,if they ain't holding green i ain't buying.
Note SCRA a 21% gainer i did not post as i saw conflicting charts as to the position of the candle.Prophet had it at the UBB where it must be,SF had the candle at the LBB,i later confirmed it was at the UBB on Stockcharts but was too late to post in the blog.

After 3 days NYNY 12% , ALIF 19% , MAMA 35% , TSTC 40% , GNVC 56%

"This is a very profitable pattern :-)"
I'd say you're right if you find the correct pattern

"Is anyone interested in helping refine the search for Stock Fetcher?"
My post was last post on this thread 3 days ago and the thread dies out,a shame cause this is "a very profitable pattern".
I've been here almost 4 years now,this is about the deadest i've seen it on anything of substance.
