RCO

3/21/05 close $1.05 rsi(2) = .012

4/04/05 close $0.83 rsi(2) = 2.31

Lower price/Higher rsi... that's POSITIVE DIVERGENCE.

4/05/05 close $1.81 high 2.16 you could have more than doubled your money.

END OF LESSON. <<

Thank you for your reply to my question. However my thick skull must be preventing me from understand the positive divergence of RCO! At first, I was looking for an adjacent divergence on 4/1/05. As I reviewed what you said "Lower price/Higher rsi" and going back to 3/21/05 using prophet.net, I found many times that "Lower price/Higher rsi" occured since that day.

3/21/05 close $1.05 rsi(2) = .012

3/24/05 close $1.04 rsi(2) = 18.59
3/28/05 close $1.00 rsi(2) = 10.66
and everyday after that up to 04/05/05, "Lower price/Higher rsi"

Forgive me I am not trying to bust any balls, just trying to learn from a wise trader.

Regards,

leaddog

LEADDOG...

Had you bought on any of those days, you would have made money on the POP DAY, right?

But the point is, POSITIVE DIVERGENCE gives you the HEADS UP... but you still have to TRADE... in this case that means WAIT FOR GREEN.

Understand?

TheRumpledOne,

Thank you for taking the time to educate me. So if I understand, when a positive divergence occurs between price and RSI(2) [lower/higher] then I should expect a large [corrective?] price move in the coming days.

Expect NOTHING!

REACT to what you see.

RSI(2) tells you where you should be looking.

WAIT FOR GREEN.

It's that simple.

MAY ALL YOUR FILLS BE COMPLETE.

TheRumpledOne,

Do you have a filter for RSI divergence?
