Energy is not my specialty.

Sorry for being so annoying and uneducated but how do you use this filter to trade? When do you buy and sell? What is the entry and exit strategy?

There isn't much more for me to say, as this is just a piece of my strategy.
It took me 1000 hours to create my strategy so I'm not giving it up. Long sleepless nights.

I wouldn't use this, as it's primitive, but you enter Xiv when Tvix dips under IFT .90,
& exit Xiv when Tvix dips under then exits IFT -90, then go long Tvix. Should be good for several
hundred percent a year.

hi shillllihs,
I am wondering how to refine a filter, given there is no backtesting function available in SF anymore. If you find a filter seems to work, how do you test whether it can work consistently through several years' length? Could you please share about the steps to refine a filter to make it work consistently?
Thank you.
Peter

You look at charting from other sites.

I already said I'm not giving up everything. It's proprietary & I'm selling my system elsewhere.
You have to put in the work. This is a good start.

Thanks shillllihs. And what other sites or tools do you recommend as complementary to SF?
Thanks.

VXX is considered "the worst ETF ever" because it bleeds badly, but having said that, I like what you are doing here.

if going long on tvix now will result in several hundred percent gains per year, we would be looking at 1929 and 1987 ! :)
