Thanks.

However, the examples do not show stochastics, volume and ATR on the charts. By the way ATR what period? 14 or 21 or something else. Stochastics what settings. Would appreciate some more help pls.

Would like to know the success rate (% of success and net % increase in your accounts) so far and how long u guys have been using this method for trading.

How do you decide the # of shares to be bought or just buy for certain $ amounts?

Thanks a lot

ipaid,

I added the following to the filter (after your explanatory response. Thanks for that again)

and average volume(90) > 250000
beta is below 1.5
Day Range < Average Day Range(10) for last 5 days

draw Stochastic %K(15,5,3)

Volume has been increasing for 5 days

This reduces the # of stocks shown by the filter and serves the purpose you mentioned. Am I on the right track

I dont use ADR in my filter, its more a personal preference. I prefer stocks that have a small day range compared to their upward move. For example if two stocks have the same potential, i prefer the one with the smaller day range.

Concerning volume i check if the average volume is increasing. If you don't use the average you filter out too many good stocks. But as with ADR i don't use it my filter. I check it manually in the charts.

Stochastic i use as confirmation if a breakout might be a real breakout and not a false one. I use Stochastic(14,3,3).

I'm still experimenting... I still try to find the best entry point. I had some false breakouts recently but the real breakouts usually make up the false ones. At the moment i buy for a certain $ amount.

Would you take a trade using this filter after a parabolic surge or consecutive days down?
