Read the posts here on Bollinger Bands. They are very good and you should make money with them.

Weekly filter study for Directional Movement (+DI/-DI/ADX)it even generates good return for big-caps, you can apply "weekly" to most momentum indicators, but SF slows down dramaticly!

Show stocks where weekly +DI(14) crossed above weekly -DI(14) within the last 5 days and weekly Average Volume(10) is above 100000 and close is between 5 and 250
and date offset is 10

are71, I backtested the Filter you suggested in the previous post. The results are quite impressive. However, it returns too many stocks. I'm looking at narrowing it down a little. Have you thought of a good way to hack it down to a few really good ones? If I come up with something I'll post it here.

Thanks for the filter.

HI NO4J,you can narrow down the matches by changing the close price to between 1 and 10 and adding "williams %r(10)is above -50 and rsi(14)is below 60"...this filter even seems to stay strong into the 60 day date offset range, with feb 24,date offset 63 hitting over 90% with some huge gains,if you are good at candlesticks you will probably be able to filter down the matches even further, plus picking up many of the big gainers......see ya,MUDDY

Igor, tkx,,,I tried different days for the DMI cross and found results for 2 days and 4 days.

As you said, it looks like dif. results for dif. days.

In the initial filter they used 5 days,,,will 1 or 2 days give you a potentially better entry into the stock?,,,,,,ANYBODY!

Who knows, DMI is kinda delayed when it comes to the relationship between crosses and actual movement in price, but you never know. You'll have to experiment, if you find out anything cool feel free to post
