Does anyone use a different site to backtest? Lately, I have been having problems using the Stockfetcher Backtest, and I am starting to doubt it's accuracy.
I am looking for a program which is reliable, and of course, not to expensive. I do appreciate any feedback. Thanks

I am not sure what you consider too expensive but A really great backtest tool is MetaStock. See http://www.equis.com

Metastock is awkward and has only very limited capabilities. I have junked it about 2 years ago.
If you REALLY want to backtest (accurately and with all flexibility) use AMIBROKER. This is a great program. There is a learning curve, but absolutely necessary for the more serious "Backtester". I think the URL is

Since you have used both MetaStock and Amibroker I would be interested to know what you found limiting about Metastock and why Amibroker is better.
After looking at the Amibroker website one thing is it is very cheap which is a plus.

difficult to tell you the "difference". In Amibroker you have a full programming language (AFL) to your disposal and thus you CAN program any filter, backtest, indicator you wish. There is no programming (of your own) in Metastock. AB is offering full looping and branching capabilities(for advanced users), it let's you connect to many different data feeds of your own choice and has GREAT support with a very dedicated user group on Yahoo. You can even talk to the developer of the program there if you wish. It takes me only a fraction of the time to express a trading system in AB compared to Metastock.
The only drawback for AB is a learning curve, which is steeper than for Metastock.
Anyway, if interested, see for yourself and just try it out for the free 30 day trial period if you wish.

I just glanced at AmiBroker's website but wanted to ask if they can do real-time screening?

They have 2 versins of the program: STANDARD and PROFESSIONAL. The latter one does real time scanning, so you CAN write your SF filters in Amibroker (with different syntax and the Amibroker programming language) and have real time capabilities.

Why not try out the free 30 day trial? Easy or difficult can be relative to a person's ability to pick up programming or the language.
I thought SF was going to be hard, and while I'm now still not 'advanced' it turned out to be fairly straight forward for what I was looking for.
