Kevin,

No, I didn't mean in the sense of "no work on the sabbath" - more like "special leave for study" - I think your SF contract calls for one month off every 7 for this purpose doesn't it?

Anyways, as to Eriks question, I have only got burned here mildly due to trending stocks. I was able to call a few reversals based on VIX divergence signals both last week and Monday-Tuesday. My largest losses (and one is still open) is partly attrubutable to overpositioning. If I were to have traded ETFs only I doubt I would be down at all. Closed KRE at a profit today. Closed MI, EEM and some SLX at a profit yesterday.

The "falling wedge" pattern picked up RIMM and BIDU yesterday.
I need to find more of those!

edit:
From StockBandit:
"Context: Found within a downtrend, the falling wedge is often a reversal pattern. "

Hi Karen,

Besides qcom, those others are pretty close to the 200 day ma. So for me, unless it's a short trade, I usually wait to see how things respond to the 200 day ma. I think if we get a close above the midsection of the 2/4 candle like on the previous chart, it would be a good bullish sign, but it is likely we would have a retest of that level for support if that happens.

FWIW, I also noticed that some oscillators are showing a bullish divergence.

Erik
