Has anyone heard of "put" options? Or shorting stocks? Go with the flow...the volatility is great for options. IMO

The volatility lately is good for trading, treacherous for long entries. Better to trade now or stay in cash and wait for greener days. Nobody can blame anyone for sitting these last few days out.

There's lots of chatter about banks and the actual stability of the whole system so maybe it will be a long, cold winter. Or maybe it's just more bear BS. Who knows? Roll with the punches.

Quick in and out on Option Puts for 1 to 2 day trade worked out for me past few days. You just have to screen for the right stocks.

Cheers.

Short side is the safest right now. COMP, DJI & SPX have all closed the week below their 50 WK.MAs which indicates, IMO, that they will all go into a distribution phase on their Monthly Charts. This is a long term indicator.
They would need to reverse quickly to avoid this.
There are a few stocks that have been moving lower for a long time and because of imprioved earnings are now in a LT bottoming process.
Stocks like HEES, GYMB, and CBK look like decent long candidates.
However, a long position will be going against the market trend so I would advise caution.
