had you bought your just out-of-the-money puts yesterday at the open , you would have faded the gap and been quite happy.

THAT is why I said to wait for the move and expect a reversion to the mean.

No, you're not.

You just missed a good trade - you didn't lose anything by not being in it except the opportunity. If your system did not tell you to enter, then you did the right thing, even if it could have made you money.

That's what I'm thinking ... but ya' never know...
Remember, we both thought "calls" on AIG ...
I lost a small fortune on that trade (AIG calls), AND it wiped out 40% of my Optionshouse account.
One can never be too sure about these things.

Indicators are indicating SHLD is in a trading range. We can go long and assume it's a breakout or short it here and assume we are at the top of the trading range...or just move on to something else...what is your move??? my indicators are telling me to move on.

Well, right now, I'm not a happy camper.
I had TWO stocks on my radar last week ... APOL and SHLD.
I became so obsessed w/ SHLD, I missed the move on APOL this a.m.
So, now I have nothing left but SHLD .. just don't know which way to play it.
APOL was EZ money.
SHLD is not so EZ ... as it could go either way.
I think the retail sector is "cookin' " their books.
JCPenney went up last week.
But I know retail is not doing well (see Macy's chart (M).
All that cheap ch*t made in China is always "on sale".
