I need some advice. This is a two part question:

#1: The first is: what software would Stockfetcher users suggest for watching real time stock minute-by-minute (“tic-by-tic”) charts? I want to be able to have four individual stock screens visible at all times so I can watch minute by minute what is going on with this stock. I’d like to have functions like Bollinger Bands visible on each chart also. I’d also like to be able to draw trend lines. These chasarts should be on a separate monitor which may or may not be on separate computers.

#2: The second is: what computer or computers are suggested that can handle the above as well as enable me to do other things while the displays are working?

Thank you … Steve

Suppose one could go many ways on this.

I use ScottradeELITE with:

Picture of my system: 3X2 24" LCD Panel Array...

Quad Core Workstation...
3 dual input DVI high-speed video cards

Data via 12Mbps cable connection and ethernet card.

Have TD Ameritrade also and Scottrade is "much" better for intraday data.

Best of success.

Stocktrader: I want to thank you for your input. I notice you were the only response and that makes yours especially meaningful.

I realize that computers and software do not a trader make. Thanks again.

Steve

I agree with you about the hardware/software does not make a trader.
One display and an old computer works fine for some.

Hope you find something that will suit your trading style.
Mine is actually too much. Things start to get too busy.
3 displays work fine for me in most cases.
Keep it simple and work on the trading strategy mechanics.

Good luck Steve.

bbrod, how many indicators are available for trade triggers in Cooltrade and are those available at fixed values or can they be infinitely adjusted like Stockfetcher?
