full stochasticand MACD/PPO on SPX and Dow daily charts still look like they're rolling over to me. Weekly rsi(2) is now heading lower too. I'm adding some more SDS this morning at about 35.70.

Market is on happy pills this morning - probably a good time to play for a reversal by the end of the day. Not my style of trading right now.

I plan to remain disciplined in my strategy - trade off of the VIX closing below the lower BB, look for confirmation on the stochastics.

My weekly price-based filter says this market is still in BUY mode. As of Friday, the daily price filter had been in SELL mode for two days. That would argue that one should be buying the dip, and selling into strength later.

Kevin, if the market continues up there will be a better opportunity to short at the end of the week in my opinion ....

Best thing for my positions right now would be a drop in the MA of the p/c ratio.

Looks like a "hollow red candle" day for the VIX. Since 1990, there have only been 89 such occurrances - on average the next day has been DOWN -0.10%.

Looks like we are stalling here at around SPX 1100-1110.

Kevin it didn't turn out to be a red candle, or am I looking at the wrong thing?

No, you're right - I posted at 3:48 PM, and by 4 PM it had turned white.

well i was lucky enough to cover most of my BKS position the other day when it dropped a couple dollars, looks like i will get a good crack at covering the rest plus my CAH tomorrow ....

Kevin, looking at the charts we came damn close to getting a signal the last few days, hope you took a short position of some sort

I should have, but didn't. Been off on vacation, so I decided not to trade for this week.

Today will be an UGLY day for longs, but I am very tempted to get in on some longer term commodity plays such as MOO, DBA, SLV and GDX. Probably missed my chance at the 2x/3x bears for the week.

Silver off 5% in premarket - that's not going to happen again any time soon.

Picked up some GDX, MOO, DBA, UGL, and AGQ shortly after the market opened. Had limit orders in, but it became apparent that they would not get filled at the prices I had set, so I converted them to market orders. Already up about 1%.
