pt-215,

I rarely short... so I haven't investigated a favorite(s).
No sarcasm.

... Additionally, I have developed a preference for dividends.

ha no worries. you are smart to not short. I like your dividend yield filters. what does the yield mean to you in terms of stock potential?

pt,

For me...yield has never been investigated to help or hurt potential (ie hi yield/lo yield is better or worse for a stocks price move or volatility).

As dividends are issued, they effectively reduce the cost of the trade. Over time the dividends can equal the trade cost (or better...no cost on the trade) !!!

Also, a 3% dividend yield per year added to a small 3% trade success per year equals a 6% return on the stock.

The Dividend Aristocrats increase dividends over time... So combine an increasing dividend with a small trading gain and it adds up.

Imagine living off the dividends. "CRITICAL MASS: the minimum size or amount of something required to start or maintain a venture." https://www.google.com/search?q=critical+mass&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8

thank you four. what i have been doing is using this one below, waiting until one on the far left shows up with good volume and has already gone down 3% plus from the prior close. guaranteed 20 cents within the hour on a stock over $10 if you short right when you see it.

show stocks where pattern is cup and handle
volume is above 1000000
price is between 1 and 39
sort by column 3 ascending

still learning how to post a link.
