How can I screen for stocks within a specific index?

At this time, StockFetcher carries a limited number of index listings which you can use to limit results within your screens. This is accomplished by using the index is ... phrase with one of the options below:

  • Dow 30

show stocks where index is Dow 30

  • Nasdaq 100

show stocks where index is Nasdaq 100

  • Russell 3000

show stocks where index is Russell 3000

  • Russell 2000

show stocks where index is Russell 2000

  • Russell 1000

show stocks where index is Russell 1000

  • Russell MidCap

show stocks where index is Russell MidCap

  • Russell MicroCap

show stocks where index is Russell MicroCap

  • S&P 500

show stocks where index is S&P 500

  • S&P 400 Midcap

show stocks where index is S&P 400 Mid

  • S&P 600 Small Cap

show stocks where index is S&P 600 Small

  • S&P 1500 (S&P 500 + MidCap 400 + SmallCap 600)

show stocks where index is S&P 1500

  • S&P 900 (Large/Mid Index)

show stocks where index is S&P 900

  • S&P 500 Pure Growth

show stocks where index is S&P 500 Pure Growth

  • S&P 500 Pure Value

show stocks where index is S&P 500 Pure Value

  • For example:
show stocks where MA(10) crossed above MA(50) and index is S&P 500

Note: The entire list may not always be returned in your filters due to various StockFetcher account settings

Please look for other indices supported in the future. In the interim, we recommend using the StockFetcher watchlist and the apply to watchlist(NICKNAME) phrasing to manually accomplish the same task.
