Overview: Dynamic Text Columns Example

With the new watch lists, you can define columns that contain user-defined text, based on filter events. The most practical example is creating a Buy/Sell/Hold column based on filter conditions. This short video shows how to create a trend-based column using the Dynamic Text feature. The example first defines a 60-day trend based on the 60 day slope of the closing prices. The column will report UPTREND, DOWNTREND, or NEUTRAL based on that slope. Then, using the "duplicate" feature, we add a second column that provides a 10-day TREND column. Again, any StockFetcher filter text may be used to create the trigger for your event text.
