Why is 'volume' not split adjusted?

When adjusting historical data for stock-splits, StockFetcher only adjusts the price, not volume data. Adjusting volume data creates "spikes" which can skew measures and create "false positives" in stock screens; when, in actuality, the volume "pattern" may have been continuous.

Please keep in mind that using the method of adjusting price and not volume does modify the historical "dollar volume" traded per day.
