How can I filter over a list of stocks from another source?

It sounds like uploading your list to a StockFetcher "Watch List" and then filtering based on the contents of that list is what you want to do. Below are steps to do this:

  1. Click on the Watch Lists link near the top of the StockFetcher page.
  2. Click Create New
  3. Create a nickname (a single word that is easy to remember and ID your list, such as MYLIST) and optionally enter a description. Click .
  4. Keep Portfolio Only selected and click .
  5. Click the Upload link right above the button on the resulting page.
  6. A pop-up window will appear prompting for you to upload a file. The uploaded file should be a text or "CSV" (comma separated) file where the symbol is in the first column. Select your file and click
  7. After verifying the upload was successful, visit the link below to create a new filter:
  8. Enter the following test filter in the text-box and click
show stocks where close is above 0
    and apply to watchlist(MYLIST)

You should see results that are based on the file you uploaded. If not, or if you have any trouble with these steps, please let us know.
