Any input on the BEST Bearish Timeframe and BEST Bullish timeframe to test the filters. (withing last one year) I want to test my filters for long trades in the bearish market timeframe and filters for short trades in the bullish market timeframe.

Fast down trend For DJIA (Bearish)
Start Date:03/07/2005 End Date:03/29/2005

Fast Up Trend For DJIA (Bullish)
Start Date:11/01/2005 End Date:11/25/2005

Try to do your backtests using above time frames to ensure the robustness of your filters.
