You can read Gatis Roze's articles on stockcharts.com. His method is somewhat conservative, but the guy makes money and has for a long time. He doesn't have a method so to speak that you would program from what I've read and I"ve pretty much read all of his stuff. Roze relies mostly on getting his stock picks from new buys and sells made big fund companies, mainly what is called Fidelity Select Sectors. That consist of about 50 different sectors of the stock market. His software helps you to identify at each quarter what stocks are being bought - with the idea that more will be bought by Fidelity and other funds. That is how he makes his money.

I meant to also note in my post that you can read all of his 10 stages at stockcharts and that tells you his thinking and approach. You can use his softward, but you must have a subscription with stockcharts to access.

Subscriptions are BS. Anybody trying to sell you a trading strategy are selling your garbage... that is why they are selling it to you. Ask yourself... if it is too good to be true, it probably is!
Why would someone sell you their trading strategy? It all comes back to market efficiency. Nobody here has found the "holy grail". There is no such thing as the "holy grail" because of market efficiency.
Yes, some filters may backtest best... because they are fitted to do so.
Just put money in SPY or VTI and forget the stress... everyone on this site is chasing a fools dream.

Gatis Roze is not trying to sell you anything. He does not present his or his materials in that way. If someone wants to read up on how this guy trades and happens to like his style of trading then it's up to the individual. No one ever forces anyone to buy anything from anyone. A person makes that decision on their own. If it doesn't work out the you have no one to blame but yourself. Again, no one forces you to do anything. You have to do your research to determine if what you buy is likely to be a worthy investment.
