How can I substitute the high or low for the close in moving averages?

Use CMA(high, X days) - this is the custom moving average. You can use it on a lot of stuff. You can also use CEMA() which is an exponential moving average.

Example

Fetcher[
symlist(SPY)
draw ma(20)
draw cma(high, 20) on plot price
draw cma(low, 20) on plot price
]
