Fidelity's idea of a good return is 1%, but I do like the fact that they really reduced their commission
in response to the rest of the industry getting cheaper. Makes it easier to skim.
You can make 8% a year in junk bonds without any real gambling. With stocks, you are constantly gambling. Just something to think about.

I do agree. with the commission drop too. the push for lower returns bothers me less than the restrictions they place, trying to get their fund managers the best fees by having nobody move their money.

In 2008 or 2009, I was developing a system for either SKF or something using units. Though a trailblazer in this field, I abandoned it only to revive it again. Kudos to me Shills.

Right after my Paris trip, I now have to plan my fall Cali trip to start looking at properties. Would rather retire in Greece but both have their pluses and minuses. Better schools for the kids & more modernity in the states but better food, beaches & life in Greece. Poor me, my wife won't let me.
