Weekly charts and indicators are now available on StockFetcher!

To take advantage of the weekly indicators, all you need to do is add the word "weekly" in front of any indicator you wish to be computed on a weekly scale. For example:

Fetcher[show stocks where the weekly ma(10) crossed above the weekly ma(50) within the last 1 week]

Fetcher[show stocks where the weekly RSI(14) is below 30]

Please keep in mind that any period of time that you specify in your indicators or screens will be related to weeks, not days. Also, the above examples produce charts that are on a daily scale. You can mix any weekly and daily measures on a daily chart!

To view your screen using a weekly chart, simply add the "chart-display is weekly" phrase to any of your filters. For example:

Fetcher[
show stocks where the weekly high is below the weekly high 1 week ago
and the weekly low is above the weekly low 1 week ago
and chart-display is weekly
]

This will convert your chart to display all of the measures using weekly information.

Please note that a weekly chart can not show any daily measures.

If you have any questions about any of these new features -- don't hesitate to drop us a line!

Thank you,

Great addition!
One question...
How would the technical indicators work with the weekly charts? For example if I wanted to use Slow Stochastic, would the following phrase be correct?

show stocks where the weekly high is below the weekly high 1 week ago
and the weekly low is above the weekly low 1 week ago
and chart-display is weekly
and SLOW STOCHASTIC(13) FAST %K IS BELOW 40

Thanks,

Hi,

The phrase that you mention would be correct; however, a couple things to note.

First, because you have the "chart-display is weekly" phrase, that means all of the indicators in that chart would be converted to weekly. *But* your filter would compute the daily stochastic measure that you indcated.

Second, to actually compute the weekly stochastic, you would just need to add the "Weekly" keyword right before the "SLOW STOCHASTIC..."

Fetcher[
show stocks where weekly high is below the weekly high 1 week ago
and the weekly low is above the weekly low 1 week ago
and chart-display is weekly
and weekly SLOW STOCHASTIC(13) FAST %K IS BELOW 40
]

Hopefully that is what you were looking for. If not, be sure to let us know!

Thanks!

Hi stockfetcher,

None of those examples previously in this thread with the 'chart-display is weekly' are actually displaying the charts as weekly charts, they are still daily charts.

Hi,

We are actually in the process of making some modifications to the weekly chart display and weekly indicators. As a result, those features have been disabled for a short period of time. We hope to have the weekly features up and running, as before, within the next couple of days!

Thank you and we apologize for any inconvenience!

It would be really nice to have "monthly" charts and indicators that have the same symantics as "weekly".

This would be very useful to help search for fractal types of occurances in the stockmarket like price crossing MA in all three time frames or Bollinger Squeeze in all three time frames etc.

I would also like to see monthly data, and would welcome quarterly and yearly data as well. One step at a time...

Wow over 3 years and still no monthly!

TomB is it possible for SF to do this?

If yes, how much longer is the wait?
