CHTL hit its 5% target this week, despite the bloodshed. Although in all honesty, you probably would have gotten stopped out first (can't tell from the weekly data).

For next week, the filter from page 1 picks are CHTL (again) and JYHW.

The 8 week filter (page 9 of this thread) has nine picks (including the two above). Please review if you are interested.

CHTL did it first day with no stop-out

OUCH! CHTL took a nosedive right out of the gate (open was the high) and plunged 13%.

Sorry - this does happen occasionally in any filter.

10% loss for this week.

Well, PEIX was the pick this week. Opened at 2.14, then dropped for two days, tripping the 10% stop. Oddly, it has exploded today, and is now up 4.6% for the week.

A quick question here. On the previous crockpot thread there was some doubt expressed that the SF count() function was not performing as expected with weekly data. This would screw up the crockpot results if true.

Does anyone know if this issue was definitely resolved one way or the other?

Thanks in advance.

Filter picks for this week:

JAZZ

OCLR
(a good second choice if you want to play more than one).

Given last week's rout in the market, I had to reduce the performance threshold number from 2.8 to 2.75 in the filter to get any hits. Not a huge difference, but the picks usually are at 2.82 or higher. Expect a bounce in the market on Monday ...

Also think about using a limit order set at the open price if you can't get in right at the start, since prices often retrace back to the open over the first few minutes before they settle down.

And make sure that you set your profit target to be 5% higher than the OPEN on Monday, not 5% more than what you might have had to pay. The statistics are based only on the open price for Mondays.

OCLR hit its 5% target already. JAZZ is still in play for this week, up a few percent so far.

Kevin,
When I run filter posted on page 1 for last week, I do not get any results (no OCLR or Jazz)
For next week I get GNVC and LCC. Am I running the wrong one?
Thanks - John

You are using the right one.

Please note that in my post on this, I had to reduce the threshold from 2.8 to 2.75 to get any hits.
