I know you haven't been able to "fix" this, but maybe sometime in the future you'll be able to ...
Make the FONT SIZE BIGGER in the custom filter box.

Hi,
If you're using the filter builder, you can change the font size via "Edit" button:
Edit -> Settings -> Font Size
Also, make sure you haven't change your browser's zoom percent.
