Long Filter yesterday - HUBG on top
Today HUBG long profit = 3.4%

Short Filter yesterday - KMX on top
Today KMX short profit = 2.0%

better milk KMX while you can, it won't last forever

Hopefully I'm wrong ... but, the backtest I ran for a two year period only shows that 69% of the stocks selected had highs at least 1% over the open. As you know, it may be difficult making a profit when only making 1% on 69% of the trades. I couldn't find any stop loss number that would make this filter profitable using StockFetcher's flawed one day holding period backtesting method. Holding more than 1 day failed miserably. I also was not successful adding and varying some criteria.

Well, as far as I can tell, the past and the future were never on friendly terms.

There's no point in backtesting.

Backtesting is used to determine the accuracy of past technical indicator buy/sell signals.

This filter is purely a statistical list of given short term trends

Top of long list before today's open: HUBG
HUBG produced 2.66% long profit

Top of short list before today's open: KMX
KMX produced 3.85% short profit today

Not too sure why it was not successful.
Please elaborate

moqual...are you trading with this filter ??? it had some good picks. How do you decide which stocks to trade from this scan. I added an ema(100) to the filter to filter stocks in a down trend. Would be kind to post an example chart for us see your entry and exit strategy. tia
