Yes it is - thank you and yes I understand now how you like the zero line.
What I was looking at for the cross to be the trigger is not all I thought it would be.
Thank you so much again.

So safetrade, when you say you like the 0 line price, on the XIV chart, would you wait for the price to drop down to the purple line before shorting? Im not sure I understand.

Unless I see a candle that to me signals the run is over I like to wait for the macd fast line to cross the zero
along with the adx(3) red crossing or about to cross over the green line. I like to see the RSI(2) line
also cross below 20. The RSI(2) line is not plotted on the chart.

safetrade, what is the significance of :

draw vxxpdi on plot nul
draw xivpdi on plot nul

is that section relevant to future direction?

vxxpdi and xivpdi is just the positive indicator taken from the ADX indicator in this filter ADX(3).
I am just using the PDI for both markets just as I am only using the MACD Fast line for
both markets. It is only relevant to the present as for as I am concerned. It is just another tool
alongside MACD.

Thank you. If both lines are pointing downward, is that necessarily a sign of short term direction?

They will not both be pointing down or up, as one reflects XIV and the other reflects VXX. One will
be going up while the other goes down.

ok, that is what I thought in terms of what they represent. I think I was looking at a JNUG chart where I saw them in the same direction. Thanks for your help.

For gold entry, can I use the first gold filter you posted on the first page of this thread?

Fine by me, if that is your market of choice.

I think your MACD plotted on price is AMAZING
Just get in on a close above d1 and go for the ride - nice - very nice indeed.
