This trading approach sounds similar to PowerRatings by Tradingmarkets.com (Larry Connors), has any one tried PowerRatings, or has any one written a filter that simulates PowerRatings?

++++++

PowerRatings take only in account technical aspects and do not consider fundamentals. Such factors might be the approach to support levels, fibonacci levels, historical volatility, low RSI(2) etc. I made about 250 trades between 12/2011 and 04/2012 using powerratings (7 - 10) with limit orders of 5 or 7 pct. The average gain was about 2 pct. This is about half of the gain promised in the tradingmarkets website. I made the same experience with other systems sold by Larry Connors. They prinicpally work, but the results in real life are significantly lower. Larry Connors is a very good salesman who lives from offering trading system. Obviously his is not able to live from trading his sold systems.

StockHolyGrail ( aka Lerogee777 on yahoo) is the one who "invented" RSI(2) as far as I know. He taught me RSI(2) around 2002.

There are many posts on the yahoo message boards talking about RSI(2).

You can find our free RSI(2) filters if you google therumpledone.

I don't know if posting links are permitted so I won't. I have been banned from enough message boards for posting links to FREE information.

I just want to make sure StockHolyGrail gets the credit he deserves for RSI(2).

He taught others and they have published his work WITHOUT acknowledging the source. The record needs to be set straight.

As most of you know, StockHolyGrail was the one who taught me about RSI(2).

Who do you think taught these guys:

And they never even mentioned his name.. THAT SUCKS!!

Look at what they are charging:

The SPX is above its 200-day simple moving average (not
shown).

Day 1 - the 2-period RSI is below 65. On 12/20/06 the
2-period RSI is 44.46.

Day 2 - the 2-period RSI closes lower than Day 1. On
the 2-period RSI is 14.45.

Day 3 - the 2-period RSI closes lower than Day 2. On
the 2-period RSI is 4.43.

Buy the market on the close Day 3. buy SPY at
140.75.

Exit when the 2-period RSI closes above 75.
sell SPY at 142.51

did not use the 200day rule.......

This could help in deciding when..but dont forget about the where!

why what when where.... we can know the last 3 for the most part... the why is where most people get stuck..
