I am trying to create a scan that looks for stocks that are currently trading in an extended basing pattern that have begun to show signs of life with volume picking up. Anyone have any ideas on where to begin with this? I am familiar with certain volume scans (thanks to a few who have responded to a few of my previous questions), but really have no idea how to look for the basing pattern (other than with the yearly range).

Any suggestions would be appreciated,

Thanks,

Jon
