I'm looking for a filter that looks for stocks that are in an uptrend, have had a recent recession and now are on their way back up.

i thought of using slopes
90 day slope of close > .5
5 day slope of close < -.25
and then closed up today

something like that.

any help is appreciated

Using shorter term slopes vs. longer term is certainly a valid approach. I prefer to use EMA's. Here's something I threw together which should give you some ideas:

Fetcher[set{rs100, relative strength(^spx,100)}
show stocks where price above ema(50) and ema(50) above ema(200) and price 1 day ago approaching ema(20) 1 day ago from above and price above price 1 day ago and average volume(65) above 250000 and price above 5 and add column rs100 and sort column 5 descending
