Very close now, going to tinker with indposition of ema and signal lines. Thanks a ton, this can be an amazing filter IMHO.

I don't think there's anyway to filter for the MACD "0" line or centerline to be at the bottom of the MACD range because it's not defined by SF. But if you look at DEIX VG and SGAS pre-run you can see what happens in conjunction with tight BB's. All MACD components are low, low, low but IMHO it's the centerline that's most important. The lower the centerline the greater the strength of the run.

If the MACD "centerline" is a constant with "0" value then what moves it up or down in the indicator box?

if you are talking about that blue/grey mass in the center of macd window, that is the result of subtracting the red line from the green line.

Chet - the "0" or centerline, not the histogram. Take a look at those three stock symbols and their charts. You see how low the centerline is? It's almost at the bottom and this is what we're trying to figure out - how to fetch for stocks where this line is at the bottom of the MACD range.
