Here let me say something....

First I want to post the filter

Fetcher[
add column Williams %R(5)
draw Williams %R(5)
volume above 1000000

RSI(2) below 1
Add column RSI(2)
]

What does this filter gives you?

First of all RSI(2) below 1 is extreme OVERSOLD stocks SHORT term... then this is WHAT you should do to find the BEST stocks in this filter... and ONLY pick top 1 or 2..

There is added a column with williams %(5) and you should sort the list with the highest williams... so -99 williams is bad but williams -50 is good.. that means that the williams is popping up before the RSI is popping !

So only choose the top 2 stocks and they would defintley pop up 1-4 days after ! Choose the ones with big volume ! It also gave me some good backtesting results.

Let me know what you think about it.. but its good if you want to fish the gold fish at the bottom BEFORE it go up. And IF you just get 5% then SELL ... its better to have a profit than nothing ! And then wait to next day to choose the best one.

Set a stoploss on -2%

Thank you !

johnpaulca..

Thats true!

But still this filter would also works properly well in other times I think... I got pretty good backtesting with only holding it max 5 days..

And its true when williams %5 spikes up and you can't rely on williams 2.. it is TOO sensitive... but williams 5 works well with RSI 2..

The filter is not bad, you traded badly(assuming you went long). Both stocks were up in the first 15 mins or so, take profits and switch direction with the stock. The trend was down big time today in the markets, no filter would have helped...ya must trade with the trend, even trading the counter trend is difficult in these waters...cheers.

yes sqwii, i dont think JP had any problems with your filter...I think hes just trying to tell you that it might be in your best interests to trade with the trend. Thats is, if markets are falling..look for shorting opportunities. and vice versa.
hope that helps
