11/27/2005 8:39:24 PM I am kicking some things around with different filters I got would like ppl to input their knowledge to the stock picks by looking at it in their software and experience to see if they are worthwhile. And maybe using sf developer package or a website and give sf members free that have been with sf before I would open website or whatever because god knows i have gotten alot of knowledge from this board even if I dont post alot. I think these are exceptional filters in the making giving constant picks and trades In which to is not easy sometimes in a varying market. dunno just a thought without feedback its hard and things change by using other programs ect. (Run those through your programs let me know) Also i think it would be very wild thing if would could do forex on here to what are everyones thoughts on that? any comments welcome |

11/27/2005 9:09:03 PM Interesting thoughts. The market has been in an uptrend recently. As long as you backtested you're filter during a bear market or a really bad month and it still produced good results, you may have a winner. Most filters here return stocks that depend on the market. If the market's going south, then you need to be running short filters. I've only been around a month or so, and I trade only the options on stocks returned by filters. I have days where I make 40% in a few hours then I have a week were a stock continues to go in the wrong direction and I'm begging for a bludgeoning and looking for an exit. |

11/27/2005 9:34:12 PM I have done many filters that do just what you say the trick is pickin the ones out of yer scans the trick is to produce scans that do give u some all the time 1% is 1% in varying market conditions trick is go with the flow follow it and then down I havent tried reversing these yet but i dont see a problem. I do use the scans with another program which i havent seem to find a sub for yet with sf prob because it is realtime and sf isnt. the backtest feature of sf is all static to me because i think it would be scewed with someone activly trading. But it helps with a starting point. I tend to go back day by day chart by chart..lol takes awhile |
