okay i got some info on taipan which has the best trading record around with incredible gains- except they charge 2500-5000$ a year foe their services- i was just reading a peice from them on adam lass who has the worlds most accurate ta-they want you to subscribe to their service- but low and behold they use a variation of my 20d- instead of a moving average- they use a trend line % above and below to get their rubber band effect plus fibanacci number ors levels to get thewir buy and sell targets-- they used a fib grid- im not sure what that is- does any one know?- help me figure a way to calculate the stock % ditance from a trnd line value and we should be good to go-thanks lerogee777

actaully we could do it with a moving average of the stock median price- but im not sure how to do it- any ideas- in adam lasses article he said you only need four things to figure the market out-- close open high and low

My first question is...why do you need this if you already possess the holy grail...This carrot that you keep dangling and then jerk away? BTW...if you plot a simple 20 day moving average of the close it's not all that different than the median. Oh well, the following will give you a 20 period moving average of the stock's median price. I'm not exactly sure what you're looking for beyond that:

Fetcher[set{x, high + low}
set{median, x divided by 2}
set{medianma, cma(median,20)}
price above 10
and average volume(65) above 750000
and draw medianma on plot price
]

From Active Trader March 2007 "Calculating the significance...."

The article shows the calculation for median in Traderstudio. It also expresses how the median outweighs effectiveness of the MA in the strategy.

I'll post the article if I can snag it.

I believe someone built a filter like that a couple years ago where results returned were price was greater than 10% below a certain moving average.Didn't look too bad for a rubber band type of snap-back like Mary says.

Uhmm, are we still in a bull market? In the current environment, shouldn't you be selling the rallies?
