i use the following setup and its very very accurate---SET{rb2,close/ma(20)} and draw rb2----draw macd(3,5.1)-------------draw linear regression line(177)-------draw rsi(2) crossing above weekly rsi(2)------chart-type is Candlestick--------you can actually predict breakouts by using trend lines on your weekly rsi-2----you rb---and you macd(2,5,1)- if you look at the 3 month spy graph using the above chart indicators-- you will see there was a very nice negative divergence happing on all three since august--draw a top trend line on the macd and rb- we have a 3 peak tops and a 2 peak top on the weekly rsi-2- we know that the spy needs to break its right shoulder above the left shoulder which is at 108- by using your cursor you can even see where the price has to break above the drawn trend lines for the above three chart indicators-- on the spy they weekly rsi-2 >86% macd(3,5,1) >0.58 rb>102.5 we did break the weekly rsi-2 bottom trend that was at 104.5 on the spy and we didnt get any lower intraday on the weekly rsi-2 than about 20 whereas the 2 previous bottoms were 4 and 5%-- so what you can do is use the rb value for the the bottom instead of the weekly rsi-2-- at the 7-10-09 bottom the rb was at 0.96 -at this weeks bottom near 103 it was at 0.96- so we bounced up off this rubber band---the intrady bottom lr line is at 105.65 right now---so our 2 big breakout points on the spy are 108.3 at the top and 102 at the bottom of the head and shoulders

you can actually predict breakouts by using trend lines on your weekly rsi-2----you rb---and you macd(2,5,1)-

I'm a little confused, can you tell us a little about RB, what is it? Can you define? Thanks

You can see the Nov divergence that m4m mentions on the spy on this version

Fetcher[
SET{rb2,close/ma(20)}
draw rb2
draw macd(3,5,1)
draw linear regression line(177)
/*rsi(2) crossing above weekly rsi(2)*/
chart-type is Candlestick
apply to symlist(spy)
draw rsi(2) on plot weekly rsi(2)
]

(Re-use of Chetron's SF code above gratefully acknowledged)

I'm not ready to concede that this is the most accurate graph for predicting stock movement but it's pretty good. Better than most stuff I come up with.
