Tman, I'm not familiar with Bulkowski's patterns and indicators. Have you followed his indicators for a while and, if so, do they appear to be somewhat reliable?
His current indicators call for a somewhat bullish short term outlook while he's also expecting the SPX to be lower than where it is today by Dec 1.

Yes I've been studying Bulkowski for a while. He added YRCW to his watchlist 9/14/09, his patternz software found the chart pattern: bull flag, high and tight, continuation pattern, performance rank 1 out of 23, 1 being the best, breakout is upward 100% of the time, average rise 69%, throwbacks occur 54% of the time, price meets the measure rule target 90% of the time. Following Bulkowski's lead I bought YRCW 9/18 and exited at target 9/23. One trade a year would beat the pros. I thought the odds were very high. His software is free, the download is at his site. He is one of the sharpest I've seen on trading patterns.

Interesting approach. Not sure if I'd pay $100 a month for this service, but if it worked it could pay for itself off the first trade.
