As I look at the resulting charts from my filters, I see white candles (up day) and red candles (down day) but I don't understand what the black candles indicate. Can anyone help me with this?

Close is above previous close, but below open.

Candles are red or black, and hollow or filled.

Hollow candles indicate that the close was above the open. Filled candles mean the opposite.
Red candles mean the close was below YESTRDAY's close, black means it closed above.
