I would like to do the following---
1) Find when there is a bar with an atr more than twice the range of the 10 day average
2) Use the closing price of that bar and carry that number forward
3) Find the first time that the middle donchian(10) gloes below the number in (2)

How can I get the close of the high ranged bar to be carried forward to be compared to the middle donchian(10) of each subsequent day to see when the middle donchian goes below that close of the high range bar? Thanks!

This cannot currently be done. It has been requested numerous times but SF has no plans to implement anything like this (any variable that stores the value of another variable for a specific date).

StrataSearch has a function that does this - ValueWhen(). It will calculate the specific value you want for a given date, usually the date of signal generation, but it can look back beyond that as well.
