Zuber

Basic is free, but I use Prophet.net (Realtime) $29.95 per month and well worth it IMO.

Some stocks come out of a squeeze and go up and some go down, how did you determinet this stocks direction at this time?

petrolpeter,
Weekly chart for NENG looks good.
Daily volume and candles indicate it may dip back down to the bottom of the range again.
Option 1: Buy and hold while it continues to cycle in the possibility that it may break upward sometime.
Option 2: Wait until it hits the bottom of its trading range and buy. When it gets to top of range, then decide to hold or sell for a small profit.
Option 3: Find another stock with more volatility and increasing volume.

Take a look a NENG on a 20d/30m chart, what do you see there?

A better example on NENG;

Look at a 20d/30m chart, see what happened on 1/24/2004. I would wait for two or three white candles for an entry.

This is the filter that I mentioned NENG off from
Fetcher[Show stocks where the Bollinger width has reached a new 2 month low and OBV has been increasing for more than 1 day and average volume(10) is above 100000 and close is between 1 and 60 and date offset 0]

.I was thinking either it will squeeze into strength or stay locked in the channel making for an entry at the bottom like keithray says.Looking for action like ARTX,TIDE,or even CORI ,check it out a couple days back with this filter Ye-ha

That filter of yours has a lot of potential. What I mean is if you look at 3 three month chart and see what stocks did comming out of the squeeze before it started, the same thing may happen again, since this stock showed prior stength earlier. I have saved this filter because with it you can get in on early breakouts, take the ones that are in an uptrend, and do a 5 and 8 day offset, by then the Bollinger Bands will either be tighter or starting to open a little, catch one or two riding the upper BB, and made some real good money, take a look at a few charts and you will see exactly what I mean. Hold them stocks for about ten days and ride the wave up.

Great Filter,

petro, I call your filter the seven day wonder filter, since it backtests so well 7 days back.

Petropeter's SEVEN DAY WONDER Filter;

Fetcher[Show stocks where the Bollinger width has reached a new 2 month low and OBV has been increasing for more than 1 day and average volume(10) is above 100000 and close is between 1 and 60 and date offset 7]

Look at today's results too;

http://finance.yahoo.com/q/cq?s=TWR,NENG,STKL,IMAX,VLGC,MSSN,WLSN,ELP,DHB,IMCO,STMP,WEDC&d=v2

You got something here Petro keep up the good work, do you mind if I post your filter on my forum @ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/bottomlinestocks/?
