Price's don't go up every day just as they don't go down every day but trends do until the trends break down.

Has anyone tried using a “short” ETF for the Dow Jones, and a short for the Nasdaq markets? I tried using a short ETF but Fidelity, my brokerage, gave me some warning notice so I decided not to use it. If there is a short ETF out there to use what’s so bad about using it?

Marine,Fidelity has to cover themselves with warnings before you place any short trade or long leveraged trade.They just want their customers to know the risks on the short side,especially when trading leveraged vehicles.DOG is a short ETF for the DOW to use non leveraged.QID is a short ETF for the NASDAQ to use 2x leveraged.Best,Miketranz...
